We both agreed that as time goes on, technology is evolving and we seem to rely on it more and more.
Now with that being said, there's pro's and cons to technology and where it is heading. One of the pro's is being able to work with a client that is not local, perhaps they live clear across the country. How exciting is that?
I have had a lot of people say how much they would love for me to decorate their home, but they live hours away.
Those conversations struck a cord with me. I thought to myself, "How can I make this work?" The technology we have now a days is amazing!! Now we have our camera phones, email, Pinterest etc... I knew there had to be a way.
How does it work? I send my clients a questionnaire, this helps me gauge their style, budget and goals for their space. You also send me the measurements of your room, along with a picture. What I will do is come up with a mood board, (sometimes called inspiration boards). This is our reference point, this helps you see the atmosphere the new decor will create. Remember, nothing on the boards is set in stone. Second, you will get a shopping list. This will include the source of each item, along with the price. If you prefer to find certain items that are similar at your favorite stores, that is totally fine. Third, you will get the room planner, this helps you see where the furniture can be placed, and also see the flow of the space. If you have any questions along the way, I am always a phone call away.
