For the time being the girls have to share a room, it is taking a lot longer then we expected to get the other room finished. When we bought this house there was a room without the drywall or insulation. Once that room is done my eldest daughter will get that room.
I promised the girls I would give them a fun room in the meantime.
This is what the room looked like before:
Each of my girls have their own style, so it was tricky to get them to agree upon anything! I am happy to say they are loving their "new" room.
I wanted to have some fun colorful pieces in the girls room. My daughter loves elephants and I knew a elephant would work for their boho room. For those of you who know me, if I can not find the exact piece I have in mind, I will make it.
My family is full of artists. My favorite paintings come from my great, great, great grandma, who painted gorgeous botanical flowers. Some of her paintings are in a museum in Northern California.
The elephant painting is my first. Took a long time to finish, but it is something my girls will always have. They love it, and that is all that is important.
The furniture needed a face lift, I decided to gold dip the bottom of their dressers.
So many wonderful tutorials out there, the easiest way to do it is to tape off the area you do not want the gold. And spray paint with a nice metallic gold paint.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
