I don't know about you guys, but in this house we look forward to the holiday season. Here in the Pacific Northwest we get a lot of rain, which not only makes you want to curl up with a blanket next to a warm fire, you want a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. We had a hot chocolate bar set up last year, and it was a big hit. Along with all of the other Christmas decorations, it was a must to get the hot chocolate bar set up, and filled with all kinds of goodies.
One of our all time favorite treats are these macaroons. There is a fabulous cafe in Portland that we love, if you live in the area I highly recommend checking them out. It is called La Petite Provence, amazing French bakery and bistro. So naturally these macaroons are a must for our hot chocolate bar.
Does my hot chocolate bar always look like this? Haha, no! My kids devoured the treats moments after I took these photos.
Since gold is very trendy this season, I decided to make this sign to coordinate with the gold theme I have going on.
I found these darling polka dot cups at Home Goods. I hope these pictures inspire you and helps you while you set up for your guests this season.
I hope you get to curl up with a warm blanket, and enjoy a nice warm cup of hot cocoa.
